Memorial of the Most Holy Redeemer October 23
Celebrated in honor of the graces and benefits of the Redemption. It was
instituted at Venice, Italy in 1576 in thanksgiving for the cessation
of a plague, and is now found only in the special calendar of some
dioceses and religious orders.
