James 4:3The key take-away here is that when our prayers are based on worldly desires rather than the graces and mercies of God, they remain unheard. We often ask God for gifts with wrong aims and intentions. These aims and intentions more often than not, affect our prayer life and desire for God, which should be our driving force. God is right in not answering such prayers for worldly things.
What we forget is that God the Father wants the very best for each one of us. The greatest gift that He can bestow upon us is eternal life with Him. And anything that diverts our attention from the Path is at enmity with God.
